Life strategies are the psychological plans we make to best manage our lives. Sometimes consciously, and often instinctively, we choose consistent response patterns to navigate the complexities of being human and living in a world corrupted by death and decay. These cognitive and behavioural patterns shape how we respond to stress, pursue joy, and recover from loss. Some strategies, like knowledge, wisdom, self-control, and helping others, help us grow through challenges and can make a positive difference in our world. Others, like avoidance or harsh self-criticism, may offer short-term relief but quietly erode our wellbeing. The journey of living well begins with the discovery of the single greatest life strategy: seeking God. Being finite and limited, it is only when we draw on the transcendent love, life, and energy of the Eternal, that we start to really live! A life lived walking and talking with Jesus is the most effective and fulfilled life of all. Only this strategy naturally and organically delivers every noble fruit and fine quality. Truth, kindness, and resilience, are only three of its many outcomes. By choosing God over self, life over death, and faith over fear, we grow daily in a life of greater impact, deeper meaning, and steadier joy. What life strategies have you chosen?
