What Can You Visualise?

Dare to dream

Visualisation is a powerful faculty that, depending on how we use it, can contribute either to better or worse mental health. Sometimes it can be helpful to visualise positive outcomes. It’s been said that if you can’t see it in your mind, you may never see it in reality! New research reported in PsyPost has found that women are better at spatial intelligence tasks than they say. Spatial intelligence involves the ability to visualize, rotate, transform, and manipulate objects in one's mind. Whilst men and women performed equally well in this study, women were more likely to report that they performed worse. Such apparent gender differences are fascinating and may lead us to reflect on personality differences. But whatever our character or self-report style, the fact that we look at what we visualise from every angle will always be a wise and helpful approach. If dreams are to become reality, we must do our homework. And if we really want to dream the highest dreams and see the greatest things, then to God we must come. For in His presence the greatest dreams are born.
